UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER - Orlando International Airport (MCO)
Reporting to: Operations Manager/Security Supervisor.
Southeast Protection Services (SPS) is hiring for openings at Orlando International Airport security officers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for identifying dangerous objects and preventing those objects from being transported through screening locations.
Carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service.
Use diverse, cutting-edge electronic detection and imaging equipment.
Perform metal detection searches, pat down searches, operation of x-ray machines physical searches of property, and other identification review as needed.
Additional security related duties to ensure safety to the traveling public.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Must possess a current Florida Class-D Security License.
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal employment, education, and personal references.
Must possess valid state-issued Driver’s License or a valid state-issued I.D. card.
Must be able to pass pre-employment / annual / random drug screenings.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to work and interact with the public.
Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing schedules. This includes being available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening and overnight as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Class-D License.
