Join us as a “Wheelchair” Dispatcher
Falcon Airport Services is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Wheelchair Dispatcher to join our team at Orlando International Airport. The dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the efficient deployment of wheelchair attendants to assist passengers with reduced mobility, ensuring timely and professional service. This role requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and coordinate wheelchair requests via radio, phone, or dispatch software.
▪Assign wheelchair attendants based on passenger needs, arrival/departure schedules, and staffing availability.
▪Communicate effectively with airline personnel, gate agents, and customer service representatives to ensure smooth passenger assistance.
▪Track and log completed assignments, documenting service times and any delays or issues.
▪Respond promptly to urgent or last-minute service requests, adjusting dispatch priorities as needed.
▪Ensure wheelchair attendants adhere to airport safety regulations and customer service standards.
▪Address any service delays or passenger concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
▪Maintain accurate records of shift reports, service logs, and employee attendance.
▪Assist in training new wheelchair attendants on dispatch procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

▪Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, or airport operations preferred.
▪Strong communication skills both verbal and written in English and Spanish.
▪Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
▪Proficiency in using two-way radios, dispatching software, and basic computer applications.
▪Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
▪Knowledge of airport safety procedures and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance is a plus.
▪Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

▪Ability to remain seated for extended periods while operating dispatch equipment.
▪Occasional walking or standing may be required to assist with operational needs.
