What is Operation Blue Roof:
- In disaster areas, Operation Blue Roof is a program for homeowners who have damage to their roofs.
- This is a free service to homeowners with homes that are primary residences or permanently occupied rental properties that have less than 50 percent structural damage.
- The program sends a licensed contractor out to homes to cover the damage with fiber-reinforced plastic sheeting (tarp) until homeowner can arrange repairs.
