The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will host public workshops in mid-April in various locations around Greater Orlando to share information and gather input from residents on proposed improvements to air traffic procedures for Orlando International Airport and local general aviation airports. FAA experts will be on hand to share preliminary designs of the air traffic procedures and answer questions from the general public. These FAA meetings are open to all, and are scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. at these locations:
- April 15 – Lake Nona High School, 12500 Narcoossee Road, Orlando, 32832
- April 16 – Orlando Executive Airport, 365 Rickenbacker Drive, Orlando, 32803
- April 17 – Florida Hotel and Conference Center, 8001 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, 32809
- April 18 -Winter Park Community Center, 721 W. New England Avenue, Winter Park, 32789

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Next Generation Air Transportation System, or NextGen, is the ongoing transformation of air traffic control technology and procedures, and the modernizing of airspace around airports throughout the nation including Central Florida.
